BECOMING CATHOLIC
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process for adults who desire to join the Catholic faith and for those seeking more information on the Catholic Church. The order can also be a method for Catholics to complete their reception of the initiation sacraments.
ORDER OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTSWho is the ORDER of christian initiation of adults for?
- Non-Catholics who want to find out more about the Catholic Faith
- Those who want to join the Catholic Church through Baptism, or Profession of Faith
- Those who were baptized Catholic as infants but never received religious education, Confirmation, or First Eucharist.
An Invitation
Jesus approached and said to them, "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."Matthew 28:18-20

Catechism and Faith Formation Courses
Online Course
An instructional course about the Catholic faith is available. It uses text from printed booklets in the Hart series. A required login aids in tracking test results and keeps a user's place in the course upon return visits.
The Luke E. Hart Series Course
This series is based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It answers the question: What does a Catholic believe? How does Catholic worship? And How does a Catholic live?
This course alone does not satisfy the requirements of becoming Catholic. To receive the Sacraments of Initiation and come into full communion with the Catholic Church, you must also be registered in The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults.
