CHARISMATIC RENEWAL 

The Charismatic Renewal is a program aimed at leading people to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a new openness to the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit inspires the members to praise God in a powerful and renewed way, and teachings at the weekly prayer meetings also provide instructions in the use of the gifts and charisms of the Holy Spirit. The Charismatic Renewal sponsors Life in the Spirit Seminars and Healing Masses as well as the weekly prayer meetings. Many members of COR attend the prayer group at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Destin which meets each Thursday evening from 4:00 until 5:30 PM. Additionally a prayer group at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church meets the first and third Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM. 

Rides are often available to attend those meetings. Healing Masses and Life in the Spirit Seminars are held in the area throughout the year and announcements are placed in the bulletins with dates, locations, and times. A Charismatic Conference is held for our entire diocese each spring where the Bishop and a number of local Priests provide teachings and liturgies.
